And for a while he would not, but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I fear not God nor regard man,
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
For a time he would not; but later he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor respect man,
And for a time he would not; but later he said to himself, Though I have neither reverence or fear for God nor respect or consideration for man,
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
“For a while he was unwilling, but later he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or respect people,
For a while he refused but finally said to himself, I don’t fear God or respect people,
For a long time he refused; but after awhile, he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God, and I don’t respect other people;
For a while the judge refused to do anything. Finally, he said to himself, “Even though I don't fear God or care about people,
And he would not for a time; but afterwards he said within himself, If even I fear not God and respect not man,
And he was not willing for a time. But after these things, he said within himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor have regard for the person,
And he would not for a long time. But afterwards he said within himself: Although I fear not God, nor regard man,
But the judge did not want to help the woman. After a long time, the judge thought to himself, ‘I don’t care about God. And I don’t care about what people think.
For a long time, the judge would not do anything to help her. Later, he thought, “I am not afraid of God. Nor do I respect people.
For some time he refused, but after a while he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God or care about people,
For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man,
For a while he refused, but afterwards he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man,
For a while the judge refused to help her. But afterwards, he thought to himself, ‘Even though I don’t ·respect [fear] God or ·care about people [or care what people think],
And he would not of a long time: but afterward he said with himself, Though I fear not God, nor reverence man,
“For a while the judge refused to do anything. But then he thought, ‘This widow really annoys me. Although I don’t fear God or respect people,
For a long time the judge refused to act, but at last he said to himself, ‘Even though I don't fear God or respect people,
“For a while he was unwilling, but later he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or respect man,
But the judge did not want to help the widow. After a long time, he thought to himself, ‘I don’t care about God. And I don’t care about what people think.
For a while the judge refused. But later, he told himself, ‘I don’t fear God or respect people,
“Once upon a time,” he said, “there was a magistrate in a town who had neither fear of God nor respect for his fellow-men. There was a widow in the town who kept coming to him, saying, ‘Please protect me from the man who is trying to ruin me.’ And for a long time he refused. But later he said to himself, ‘Although I don’t fear God and have no respect for men, yet this woman is such a nuisance that I shall give judgment in her favour, or else her continual visits will be the death of me!’”
And he would not for a while, but afterward he said within himself, Though I do not fear God, nor regard man,
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
And for a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor respect man,
And he was not willing for a time, but after these things he said to himself, ‘Even if I do not fear God or respect people,
The judge ignored her for a while, but eventually she got on his nerves. “‘I fear neither God nor man,’ he said to himself, ‘but this woman bothers me. I’m going to see that she gets justice, for she is wearing me out with her constant coming!’”
“He never gave her the time of day. But after this went on and on he said to himself, ‘I care nothing what God thinks, even less what people think. But because this widow won’t quit badgering me, I’d better do something and see that she gets justice—otherwise I’m going to end up beaten black-and-blue by her pounding.’”
“He would not for a while. Yet afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I do not fear God or respect man,
· He didn’t want to for a time. But later on he said to himself, ‘Though · I neither fear · God nor have regard for people,

For a while he was unwilling; but later he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor respect any person,
For a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor respect man,
“For a long time he refused her request, but finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I neither fear God nor have any respect for people,
For a while the judge refused to help her. But afterwards, he thought to himself, ‘Even though I don’t respect God or care about people,

And for a zman (time) the Shofet was not willing. But after these things, he said to himself, If indeed Hashem I do not fear nor do Bnei Adam I respect,

For a long time he would not do it. But after a time he said, "I do not respect God or care about people.
